Success achieved in various sports competitions:
- Triathlon
“On July 2, 2023, Dr. Ganpatye achieved success in the triathlon competition held in Kazakhstan, earning the honour of becoming the first Ironman from Konkan. In this full Ironman competition, he completed the three disciplines of 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling, and 42 km running continuously in a total time of 15 hours and 17 minutes.
He has completed three half Ironman competitions, which are half the distance of the full Ironman, and he have also completed three Olympic distance triathlon competitions, which are half the distance of a half Ironman.”
- Running
Dr. Ganpatye has participated in 10 half marathons, each covering a distance of 21 km.
“Among these, secured third place in the Konkan Coastal half marathons held in Ratnagiri and first place in the Kudal Monsoon half marathons. Achieved first place in the Rotary Marathon held in Chiplun. Recently won a gold medal in the Satara Hill Marathon with a time of 1 hour and 53 minutes.”
- Cycling
Secured third place in the Ratnagiri Cyclone. Achieved the title of Super Randonneur twice. To earn this title, one has to complete 200, 300, 400, and 600 km cycle rides within a year.
